About Me
My aunt had just started her 1st round of chemo. She had some complications and was put in the hospital last week, where the surgeon discovered the cancer had come back already. It is now stage 4 and spread to her small intestines and stomach.

Welcome Mary Kay, glad you are here for your aunt.  I suspect it didn't "come back".  I suspect it was there upon initial diagnosis - either way, what this means is we'll be adding in another chemo drug most likely.  Please feel free to call me today on the helpline - 877-422-2030 and we can talk about adding in avastin.

Hi Mary Kay,

Welcome to our online community.  I am sorry that you and your family are going through such a difficult time right now.  It looks like your aunt was originally diagnosed at stage III.  Did her doctor perform any additional testing at that time such as a CT or PET scan?  What complications did she have with the first round of chemo?  How is she doing now and what is the plan going forward?

Please feel free to look over the resources on our website.  If you click on the "Patients" tab you will find a lot of information pertaining to treatment, side effects, etc.  Here is the link:  http://www.ccalliance.org/

In addition, our Helpline is available Monday thru Friday from 9:30am to 4:30pm at (877)422-2030.

We are here to help so please let us know what we can do.  I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Take care,

Janelle Hill
