To all my friends on here please let us say a prayer or two for our friend Laura. Laura is having the RFA procedure done today. Laura is a very dear friend of mine and I pray this rfa burns what ever lesions they are going after. As we have often heard "burn baby burn".
God Bless you all and thanks for taking the time to read this post.
Love, Peace and the Power of God.

Sometimes more then others I do feel that I am a prisoner to this chronic disease. I also feel a kindship to it as well. It has been for the last seven years in my family. Its like the relative that comes over for only holidays, brings their own libations and drink until they have a stupior and or beer googles. However, the next day that family member has the choice to leave our house - cancer seems to be throwing out its own welcoming mat and thinks he is a permanent fixture in our…

Richard Mason said… Hi Michael,
Thanks for the welcome back and the message. I remember what it was like here going back to 1986, the first time we visited Busch Gardens, and again in 1990, 1995, 1999, 2001, then finally moving here permanently in 2004. I enjoy heading back and visiting New England and family at least annually, but love living here! I am actually at the infusion center right now. We are taking things more slowly this time, after a mishap a month ago. What have you treated with over the years? I treat through Florida Cancer Specialists. It is a best of both worlds situation. My doc is fantastic. He is also head of oncology at Tampa General, on board at St. Joseph's and consults with the docs at Moffit. I am still relatively young for this, 43, a fact that is driven home every time i go to infuse. It is ok though. i have a positive outlook, and hope that i can prove to be an inspiration to others through my attitude. I look forward to checking in with you every now and then.

Karen D Black said… Hey Michael,How are you and Colleen doing? I have not been on here in quite a while due to computer trouble. You are the first one I have written to in several months. I sure am enjoying the beanie babies that you sent to me. They have a special place in a display box, and I would not take anything for them, being that this is a special gift from you that I will treasure always. I am also wanting to add to my beginning collection.I bought a beanie baby from my local thrift store for only $1.00.Awesome right!? It is a peace bear, and it came in an enclosed see through container. My medical team says that I am in remission, so I pray that I continue to stay this way. I hope to catch you in chat real soon.Take Care and tell Colleen that I said hey. Take Care my friend! HUGS-Karen
Lynette Ashby said… Michael, thank you for your inquiry. I'm on no treatment now, just doing detective work on Cancer Institute and Budwig Center. The diet's changed: no wheat, no meat, no sweets, no dairy treats. No alcohol. No coffee. (Okay, less coffee. Gimme a break.) I'm working and taking art workshops and walking, in between CTs and bloodwork that don't really pick up anything. KRAS mutated sucks!

Jeff Anderson said… Hi Michael, What we have in common that has enabled us to survive this long is God. I would say about 90% of what I eat is organic. I eat a mostly plant diet which includes juicing twice a day. I will eat organic eggs once a week and either fish or chicken breast once a week. That is about the extent of the animal products that I consume. I have started to seriously limit my carb intake and avoid sugar and processed foods all together.
My CEA doesn't work for me. It has always been between .5 and 1.1 evan when there were known visible tumors in my before surgery.
Jeff Anderson said… Hi Michael, I have been NED for a little over a year since my last liver resection. I have had 3 so far. I am very active with mountain bikine, kayaking, weight lifting which I think has helped my longevity. I also drastically changed my diet, have started meditating and have a strong faith in God which is most important. People like you inspire me and keep me going as well but most of all I am fighting for my loving wife.
BTW I like the hat.
